In Motivity, you can set your permissions so that certain roles can view all libraries, but only edit programs within the libraries to which they are assigned.
This can be helpful in a variety of cases, for example:
- You want all clinicians or teachers to have access to pulling programs from your organization's library or templates library, but want only certain individuals to be able to edit programs within that library.
- You want all clinicians to be able to edit within a practice library, but not your organization or template libraries.
In the above case, you would set the permissions as such; with these permissions, anyone with the BCaBA role will be able to view and assign from all libraries, but will only be able to edit within the libraries to which their are assigned.
How to Assign Members to a Library "Team"
To assign members to a library, you will navigate to the library, click the three-dot menu in the top right corner, click "Team," and then click "+ Assign."
From there, you will be able to assign any members to that library team. If their role has the permission to edit programs set to "if assigned," then they will be able to edit within that library!
If you have roles within your organization that you wish to be able to view libraries within a library and assign those programs to their learners, you would turn off the "Edit Programs" permission under Library Permissions.
In this case, they will be able to assign programs to their learners, but will not be able to edit them in the library. Once programs are assigned to their learners, they can customize the programs. These customizations will affect the program only for their learner; the program within the library will remain unchanged.
These permissions would be configured as such:
