Expected to Be Run Setting in Program Builder
This article explains how the Expected to Be Run setting works, when to use each option, and how it influences data interpretation across the system.
The Expected to Be Run setting lets you specify how often a target is intended to be run when it appears in data collection. This helps ensure session metrics accurately reflect your clinical intent.

You can choose from the following options:
Every time it appears in data collection (default)
Select this option when the target is expected to be run during every relevant session in which it appears.
- This is the default for all existing and newly created programs and phases.
- Use this for required or instructional targets that should not be skipped.
- The system treats these targets as expected every session, which supports accurate tracking and performance metrics.
Occasionally (naturalistic/optional)
Select this option when the target is not expected to be run in every session and may be addressed only when appropriate.
- Use this for naturalistic, optional, or opportunity-based targets.
- The system understands that skipping this target in a session may be intentional and clinically appropriate.
