Having parents/caregivers collect data on Motivity Follow
You can invite parents to set up a Motivity account and assign them a parent role. You may need to create a parent role and assign permissions. Here is an article on how to create roles and set permissions. Make sure to only allow parents to collect view or collect data for learners they are assigned to so they can't see other learner data. Once they are assigned to that team, they have whatever permissions you set up for that role. You can have them take data on parent goals. Here are the recommended parent permissions.
Then assign the parent/ caregiver to the learner's team. Here is how to assign members to teams: https://help.motivity.net/hc/en-us/articles/360045298232-Assign-Members-to-Learners-Create-a-Team-
1. Set up parent goals as a program with a tag for Parents and set the Session type for each target to "Daily Data" so that they don't need to start a session to access the data collection interface. Daily Data is always available for data collection and you don't need to start a session to collect data.
You can send the parents a direct link (through text or email) to the daily session data page so they can click on the link and go straight to the data collection page and won't need to navigate Motivity.
The pros to this way are that all the learner data is together in one account but the cons to this is that parents will have access to starting a session and accidentally adding data. Of course, you can delete that after the fact if that happens.
2. The second way to do this is to create a second learner account for this learner just call it "learner (parent)" and then create programs for the parents that are contained in this learner. This would prevent parents from taking data in a session.
Here is a video you can share with parents on collecting data on Motivity.
