Access Levels
Overview:
- Access Levels in Motivity define the permissions granted to different users based on their role. These levels control what users can view, add, edit, or delete within the system.
Steps to Manage Access Levels:
- Accessing Access Levels:
- Navigate to the Admin menu and select "Access Levels" to view the permissions under each access level.
- Editing Access Levels:
- Select an access level to view or modify its permissions. Be cautious when assigning permissions to ensure that interdependencies are properly addressed.
- To change the name of the access level, select the access level from the dropdown and click on the pencil icon to change its name.
Creating Custom Access Levels:
- You can create new access levels with unique names and assign specific permissions based on organizational needs. Go to the Access Levels page and click on "Add."
Permissions:
- All the access levels are listed on this page in the following hierarchy:
- Level 1: Motivity Module
- Level 2: Page inside the module
- Level 3: Permissions within the page
- You can click on the dark grey row (Motivity module name) to minimize all the access levels under it.
- If you turn off the access level on the module level, all the permissions underneath are turned off. However, when you turn it on at the module level, it does not allocate permissions for all the items underneath; you have to do it one by one.
- Credentialing Task Assignment: The access level on the top marks if the users who belong to this access level can be assigned as credentialing managers in the provider’s profile. This means that these users (along with the admin) will receive notifications and alerts about pending items and alerts of the assigned providers.
- Provider Portal:
- This access is for providers to view their own profile only.
- Additionally, you can assign scheduler access to them.
- To allow them to view their own schedule only, select the “Individual Schedule” option under Scheduler.
- If they can view other providers’ schedules too, then do not turn on the above access. This means they do not have only their schedule access (they can see all providers' schedules).
