AIO - Motivity User Termination or Deactivation

This article outlines the procedure for deactivating or terminating a user to ensure their access is correctly removed from both Motivity Practice Management (PM) and Clinical.

User Termination: Action Required in Both Modules

Separate Deactivation Process

Currently, deactivating or terminating a user's status in Motivity Practice Management (PM) will NOT automatically update their status or remove their access in the Motivity Clinical module.

To fully remove a user's access to both modules, you must follow the steps below:

Required Action in Clinical
  1. Remove Role or Member Status: After deactivating the user in PM, you must manually complete the same process in Clinical by:
    • Removing the Member's assigned Role within the Clinical module, OR
    • Completely removing the Member from the Clinical module.
  2. Prevent Access: If the role or member status is not manually updated in Clinical, the User will still be able to log in and access the Clinical module of your organization, even if they have been terminated in PM.
Ensuring Data Consistency

To maintain accurate records across both systems, if a user's status or role is updated in the Clinical module first, please remember to also update their status (e.g., deactivate or terminate) in Practice Management so that the information in both modules matches.
