Contract: Blackout Dates

This article is most relevant to billing administrators, contract managers, and users responsible for creating, managing, or maintaining contracts within the Contracts module.

Use this area to add any blackout dates specified in the contract. While uncommon with insurance-based funders, blackout dates are specific calendar days when the system blocks appointments or sessions entirely. Common uses include:

  • Dates restricted for billing, such as school district closures

  • Special compliance or billing restrictions (e.g., funder non-payment periods)

Adding a Blackout Date:

Click the blue Add Blackout Dates button at the top of the screen and enter the desired date. When a scheduler attempts to schedule on this date, the system will display an alert and prevent scheduling unless they have permissions to override alerts.
