Each month Motivity proudly produces a webinar and many of those will be eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). We are excited to offer this extra benefit for our customers and would-be customers.
Here are some frequently asked questions about those events that offer continuing education:
What does someone need to do to earn a CEU?
For someone to receive a CEU, they must have attended for a certain period of time (50 min for 1 CEU, 75 min for 1.5 CEUs, 100 min for 2 CEUs) AND not joined more than 5 min late or left more than 5 min from the end (not including the demo). We have to be very strict about this in case we are audited by the BACB, therefore there are no exceptions. But you are welcome to watch the event at your leisure and answer some questions to earn the CEU. At this time, presentations are only available to Motivity customers after the live event.
Does Motivity provide CEUs for organizations other than the BACB?
No, however, other organizations may accept the certificate designed for the BACB.
If I logged in using a different email address, will I still receive my CEU certificate?
We record attendance using the email and BCBA number provided at the time of registration. Therefore, if you logged in using a different email address, it is likely that we will not be able to issue the CE certificate. Should this happen, please contact the host christy.evanko@motivity.net .

I’m unable to participate in the polls. Can I still earn the CEU?
You are not required to participate in the polls, however, your participation is greatly appreciated and is useful feedback for our presenters.
Why didn’t I get a certificate?
Reasons they don’t have one:
- We haven’t sent it yet (we send certificates within 14 days of event)
- It’s in your spam
- You didn’t attend for the appropriate time period (see What does someone need to do to earn a CEU?)
Can I watch the event after the live broadcast?
If you are a Motivity Customer, you can see the event through Thinkific. Simply log in to Motivity and click on the ? at the top right. Then choose “try exploring our video courses.” Once in the Thinkific platform, click the link at the top left for “Continuing Education.” In order to earn the CEU, you will need to answer some questions.
