Data is not populating into session note

Most of the time, session note templates are set up to auto-populate data collected by the note author and within the session timeframe. For example, if a session is run from 12:00-3:00, the note will auto-populate any data points collected within that timeframe. Learn more about session note template configurations in our note template builder training, or reach out to your CSC if you need assistance adjusting these settings.

If a note is not pulling the targets that were run within the session, the first thing you should check is the timestamp on the data.

In the example below, there was a session from 12:00-1:00 with data collected. The data are not pulled into the note:

Let's check the session. First, go to the learner's timeline. Filter by "session" and find the corresponding session for the note. Check the timestamp on the data points. In this example, the data points were collected at 1:10 pm, which is NOT within the note timeframe.

To fix this, we can edit the timestamp associated with the data! From the session view, click "Edit Data," then click the pencil icon next to each data point. From there, you can adjust the time.

As you can see, once the time is adjusted, the data will automatically populate into the note!

Note: if the note is signed, it is locked. For that reason, the note author must unsign the note to get the data to populate.
