Configuring Targets Import for Raw Target Data In Session Notes

This article outlines how you add the Target Imported Field to import raw target data into your session notes and your options for what target information you want included in your final note.

How to Add the Target Imported Field

To add "Targets" using Imported Fields in your session note template, you will:

  • Select the + sign

  • Select Imported Fields from the drop-down menu

  • Select "Programs/Targets"

  • Move as fitting in the tree by using the three dots to the left of the field

  • Select Programs/Targets and choose "Raw Target Data"

Identifying Which Type of Data You Want to be Included in Your "Targets" Auto-Import

You now have the option to include targets based on the following options:

  1. Including/excluding targets that are exercised under the conditions below: Checking the box “exercised under the conditions below“ is telling the system that you want to include the targets that meet the criteria below. Selecting “not exercise under the conditions below“ means that you want to include targets that do not meet the criteria indicated below. This is typically used if you would like to include targets that were not run during the session. You can have both checked at the same time or just check one or the other.

  2. Goal Descriptions: This option allows you to choose if you want goal descriptions for the imported targets to be shown in the completed note.

  3. Data Collection Method: This option allows you to choose if you want data collection methods for the imported targets to be shown in the completed note.

  4. Collected During: This option enables you to choose the timeframe for data collection. You can specify whether you want to display data from the entire session or only for a specific time period. This lets you focus on particular segments of your session when reviewing or presenting data.

  5. Collected By: Motivity allows you to differentiate between data collected by the Note Author and Data collected by Anyone (This refers to anyone who collected data for the learner for that day/during that session). With this option, you can select whether to display data from the Note Author exclusively or include data from other individuals who contributed to the session.

  6. Include Phases: This option pertains to sessions that are structured into different phases (Assess, Train, Maintain, Track). You can display data separately for each phase, providing a breakdown of the targets and corresponding data specific to each phase of the session. This breakdown enables a more specific analysis of progress or results across phases.

  7. Allow Override: The Allow Override option grants the note author the ability to modify the data display options while writing the session note. This means that even if the data display options were predefined or set by default, the note author can make adjustments during the note-writing process to tailor the data presentation to their specific requirements or observations.

By utilizing these various options in Motivity, you can customize how data from the Targets field is presented and analyzed in your session notes, allowing for flexibility and adaptability based on the specific needs of each session and the preferences of the Note Author.
