A filtered subsection is a section of your session note that is displayed based on your response to a previous question. For example if your answer to the question "Did program modification occur?" is "yes" a filtered subsection opens up with different possible modifications that you can choose from in the form of radio buttons, check boxes or a drop down menu.
Click on the three dots next to the section to move it up or down in the note template
Click on the section to start editing it. Give the section a name and decide if you want the name displayed in the finished note or report
Click the box that says "Filter subsections".
Choose if you want your options presented as radio buttons, check boxes or drop-down.
Create your choices, e.g. "no" and "yes" by clicking the + sign to generate the number of choices, in this example two.
Label your choices
Now we want to create the subsections that should appear if we select yes. Click the + Subsection to the right of "yes".
Label your subsection identifier. We might for example want the full name of the Behavior Analyst.
Create a subsection under the section "Did behavior modification occur?" by clicking the + sign just below and choose "section".
You have created a subsection under "Did behavior modification occur?"
Now copy the name of your subsection identifier and paste it into your subsection's section name. It is very important that the name of the subsection is identical to your subsection identifier, that is why we recoomend to copy and paste. Click "show name at top of section" if appropriate.
We can then go in and add for example a text line where the behavior analyst can type their name.
In the panel furthest to the right you can observe how these features are being built into your template.
Let's add check boxes for types of program modifications by clicking the + sign in the subsection and choose "Check Boxes".
Select the "Check Boxes" field to edit. Give the check box section a name (e.g. "Type of program modification" and by using the "+ Check Box" add as many options as you want.
Label your check box choices
This is what your template should now look like if you tick no....
...and if you tick yes
