Label-based Session note permissions

This article outlines how to use labels to limit who can create specifc types of session notes.

Use labels and role-based permissions to limit who can create specific session notes. For example, you only want BTs to create session notes created for BTs and not BCBAs. To do this, you would first assign labels to note templates and you can learn more about this in this article.

Once you have labels set up for your session note templates, you can then limit what roles can create notes with certain labels or notes that are unlabeled.

To set this up:

  1. Go to settings in your organization.

  2. Go to Roles and select the role you want to assign session note permissions, in the example below for RBTs.

  3. Scroll down to the Notes section.

  4. Use the toggle to determine if people in this role should be able to create notes only for learners whose teams they are on or for all learners in the organization.

  5. You will now see an option to select "Specific Types.

  6. Add the labels you want that role to create bu clicking the box and then selecting the pencil.

  7. This role will only see notes with those labels or Unlabeled (if selected) in the dropdown when they go to create a note.
