Limit Users Ability to Edit Programs in a Specific Library

This article will show you how to set up a Read-Only Library and allow only assigned individuals to edit and update programs in a specific library.

This article will:

  • prevent programs in libraries to become disorganized and unruly (e.g. program duplicates, including Client's PHI, multiple versions of the same program with different names).
  • prevent some users from making unwanted changes to program templates.

It's a two-step process.

1. Set up Library Permissions. For your Supervisor or Clinical Management roles, set up the permissions as follows.

This will allow a clinician to view programs in a library and edit programs to the library they are "assigned to".  They will not be able to edit the vocabulary (e.g. change or edit the labels), view or edit assigned members, or create, revise or delete existing libraries. This is an important one!!

2. Assign Individuals to Libraries. Once the mid-tier clinician permissions reflect the above, then you can choose to assign individuals to libraries where you want them to add and edit programs in that library.
