Phase Scheduling

In Motivity, you can set a schedule for how often you would like a target to appear in data collection based on what phase it is in.

This feature can be utilized to set up a maintenance schedule that incorporates fading the frequency at which the target is presented over time.

Within mastery criteria, there is a section titled “Schedule.”

The default setting is that the target will be “Always Available.” This means that with this radio button selected, it will appear each time a session is run. To set a schedule and specify how often you would like the target to appear in data collection, select “On a Schedule.”

Present every: allows you to set the cadence at which the target appears in data collection. You can choose from sessions, calendar days, weeks, and calendar months.

If you choose week or month, the system will prompt you to choose between the beginning of the week/month, or on/after a specific day or date.

Mode: Selecting “At the start of the phase” means that as soon as the target transitions into the phase, it will be immediately visible in data collection, and will then fall into the set schedule for the phase.

“Wait one scheduled period before presenting” means that one period, based on the set schedule, will pass before the target appears for the first time.

Ignore indeterminate session outcomes: When unchecked, the schedule advances if any data was collected for the target, regardless of the outcome.

When checked, the schedule is advanced if a session outcome was reached within the scheduled period. Only success or failure can advance the schedule. Indeterminate outcomes will not. This option is only available if session outcomes are defined.
