Additionally, Motivity is built specifically to handle intermittent internet access. If you temporarily lose connection, the system will let you know with a color-coded bar at the top of the screen. Data is synced to the servers immediately as it is collected, so there is no chance of losing any data if your connection drops. When you regain connection, Motivity will continue seamlessly.
With that being said, there may be some scenarios where NO connection will be available. If you know you will be away from WiFi or cellular data during all or part of a session, you can plan so that you can still collect data during this time.
Before leaving an area with connectivity, navigate to the learner's "collect data" section in Motivity. On the top right side, click "print." This allows you to select the session type that you would like to print, and the system will generate a data sheet with all of the learner's active programs.
From there, you will see options for different program information that you can include or exclude (protocol, dosage, etc.). Once configured, click the blue "Print" icon.
Next, you will save the data sheet as a PDF on your device.
Once saved, you can open the data sheet on your device--no internet connection is needed! Because we are looking at it in a PDF, we can make edits to the data sheet using annotation. See examples
Motivity was specifically built as a light-weight application, meaning that it requires very little data, storage, and connectivity to operate. In addition to WiFi, it works on 3G, 4G, 5G, and Hotspot.
When you return to cellular data or Wi-fi, you can enter this data right in Motivity. Re-enter the "collect data" view and start the session. Go through the programs for which data was collected on your PDF data sheet and enter them into the session as usual. You can use the bulk entry feature as applicable to save time. All data is saved to Motivity and will be automatically visible on your graphs.
